Privacy Policy – Docy Switch
1. Introduction
Welcome to Docy Switch.
Docy Switch is a free online document conversion and PDF management platform powered by Slingster.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the information processed through our platform.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we process documents, how temporary files are handled and what choices are available to users.
By using Docy Switch, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy.
2. No Account Required
Docy Switch does not require users to create an account or register to access its document-processing tools.
We do not require:
- Full name.
- Email address.
- Phone number.
- Password.
- Social media account.
However, our hosting providers and infrastructure may automatically process limited technical information necessary to operate and secure the website.
3. Documents and Uploaded Files
Users can upload documents to perform supported operations.
Depending on the selected tool, document processing may happen:
- A. Directly inside the user's browser.
- B. Through our server-side processing infrastructure.
For operations requiring server-side processing, files may be temporarily transmitted to our infrastructure and stored using Cloudinary.
We use temporary file identifiers to manage processing jobs.
We do not intend to use uploaded documents for advertising, profiling or unrelated commercial purposes.
4. Temporary File Storage and Automatic Deletion
Docy Switch is designed around temporary document processing.
Our intended retention policy is:
- Successfully downloaded files: deletion initiated after the download response completes.
- Abandoned uploads: expiration after approximately 30 minutes.
- Failed processing jobs: expiration after approximately 10 minutes.
- Maximum configured temporary retention: 1 hour.
Automated cleanup mechanisms are used to remove temporary documents and associated processing records.
Actual deletion may take additional time due to infrastructure processing, CDN caching, backups or third-party provider retention practices.
We do not offer permanent document storage.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
Docy Switch uses third-party infrastructure providers to operate its services.
These may include:
- Cloudinary: Used for temporary file storage and delivery when server-side document processing requires it.
- Vercel: Used for website hosting and serverless backend execution.
- MongoDB Atlas: May be used to maintain temporary document-processing job information.
These providers may process limited information necessary to provide their services.
Their processing is subject to their respective privacy policies and terms.
